As the thoughts flow unbidden through my mind,
I catch a glimpse of your eyes looking into mine –
Of what could have been.
And then it passes me by,
And I think of someone else instead.

I think it's perfect because I feel, the words, emotion and picture and the totality of it just fits perfectly. Like there isn't anything missing. It expresses what had to be expressed, and it should have been expressed.
However if you don't think it's perfect, do tell me why.
